Tunisian Sesame & Fennel Seed Biscuit

Preheat the oven to 193°C.

In a bowl, sieve the flour and baking powder together, then set aside.

In another bowl, beat the eggs, vanilla sugar, and sugar together with an electric mixer until light and creamy.

Gradually add oil, orange juice, and a pinch of salt to the egg mixture, and mix well.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, stirring until a batter is formed.

Add fennel seeds and sesame seeds to the batter, and mix well to form a soft dough. Set aside for 5 minutes.

Roll out the dough into circles, and dip each ball into the sesame seeds.

Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 8 minutes. Then move the tray to the upper rack and bake for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown (baking time may vary depending on your oven).
