Traditional Turkish Bread

Turkish pide bread is a traditional no knead flatbread that’s fluffy and so easy to make. Fresh out of the oven, this bread is fluffy and perfect.

    Pour the milk in a bowl. Add yeast, sugar and then mix. Cover for 15 minutes.

    Scoop the flour in the mixer. Add oil, yoghurt, baking powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, egg and then mix for 5 minutes.

    Add the yeast mixture, set the speed to medium and mix for 7 minutes. Set the speed to high and mix again for 7 minutes.

    Pour ½ teaspoon of oil in a small bowl, immerse the flour mixture in the oil and cover for 45 minutes.or until double size

    Knead the dough and split into two. Spread half over a tray and cover for 30 minutes.

    Pour ⅓ cup of water into a small bowl, add 4 tablespoons of flour and mix. Add ⅓ teaspoon of salt and mix.

    Dip your fingers in the mixture and make indentations with your fingers over the dough. Add some sprinkles of nigella and sesame seeds set aside to rise again for 20 minutes

    Place the tray on the middle rack of the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes at 380°F.
