Oven Method Pita Bread

These baked pita = make a lovely accompaniment to any dip or spread

Ingredients for 6 portions

    Pour 1 cup of milk into a small bowl.

    Add sugar and yeast; mix thoroughly and cover for 15 minutes

    Scoop the flour into a mixer, add ½ cup of oil, plain yoghurt, baking powder, salt and egg; mix for 4 minutes.

    Add the yeast mixture and mix again for 5-10 minutes.

    Pour ½ teaspoon of oil into a plate, immerse the dough in the oil and cover for 45 minutes.

    Shape the dough into balls; sprinkle flour over a tray and place the balls in the tray. Sprinkle some flour over the balls of dough and cover for a little time.

    Stretch the dough with a roller make round shape dough transfer to sheet and continue tell repeated until all done transfer the tray to the oven and place in the second layer of the oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 380°F.

    Take the pita bread out of the oven and transfer on a kitchen towel to cool

    The pita bread is ready to be enjoyed
