Egyptian Kunafa
A traditional kunafa dessert with a buttery texture and a mouth-watering syrup, finished off with crushed nuts.

Preheat oven to 175°C.

Use your hands to separate the kunafa dough.

Drizzle the melted butter over the dough and incorporate it using your hands.

Grease a baking pan with 1/2 tsp melted butter.

Press the dough into the baking pan with your hands.

Bake for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Move the pan to the upper rack and bake for an additional 5 minutes.

Drizzle syrup over the kunafa and sprinkle with crushed nuts.

Set aside for at least 1 hour to absorb the syrup.
