Dutch Slow Cooked Leeks Stew

A classic where the savoury leeks meets the long cooked hearty meat with a sweet kick.

    Cut the meat in small pieces. Cut the leeks in half rings and then wash thoroughly.

    Fry the meat in olive oil. Stir regularly.

    After 5 minutes, add the onion, leek and garlic. Add a glass of water and close the lid on the pan.

    After another 5 minutes, stir everything so that everything is well mixed. Repeat this several times, so that eventually everything is below liquid level.

    Finally, add the chili sauce and ketjap, and let it simmer on a low heat for few hours until the meat is tender and breaks easily.
