Crispy Phyllo Meat Pie
A delicious and hearty Egyptian goulash with layers of buttery phyllo pastry wrapped around a flavorful ground beef filling.

Prepare the filling: Blend the onion in a blender. Chop the green onions and parsley.

Cook the ground beef in a pan with oil until brown. Add blended onion, black pepper, coriander powder, salt, garlic powder, cumin, and green onions. Cook for 5 minutes on low heat, then 5 minutes covered, then 5 minutes uncovered on medium heat.

Add parsley to the filling and mix.

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Grease a pan with melted butter.

Place 2 layers of phyllo pastry on a board and grease each layer with melted butter.

Make a little fold, grease it, and add the ground beef filling on the folded layer. Roll it up and create a spiral. Repeat with the remaining pastry.

Beat the egg with milk, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Pour it over the pastry and spread it with a brush. Sprinkle black seeds on top.

Bake for 20-25 minutes in the middle rack of the oven.
