Buttery Phyllo Pastry Stuffed Meat Pie

Place a pan on the cooker over medium heat. Pour 2 tablespoons of oil. Add ground beef and cook until browned.

Add diced onions and cook for another 3 minutes. Stir in tomato sauce, five-spice powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, chopped peppers, and ⅓ cup of water. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.

Brush melted butter inside a rectangular container. Split the phyllo pastry into 2; place ½ inside the container and spread melted butter over each layer.

Add the cooked beef and spread. Sprinkle ⅓ of cheese on top. Place the other half of the phyllo pastry over the beef and brush each layer with melted butter.

Crack the egg into a bowl, add milk, ½ teaspoon of black pepper, and mix.

Pierce the phyllo pastry inside the container with a knife to form 8 squares. Pour the egg mixture over the phyllo pastry. Sprinkle another ⅓ of cheese on top.

Place in the middle rack of the oven and bake for 35 minutes at 175°C.
